ABOUT THE AUTHOR
During his teaching career, Steven Katz has specialized in social studies and technology, although he has been called upon to teach a variety of different subjects, and has enjoyed his various roles on campus such as director of educational technology, professional development coordinator, and mentor teacher.

In addition to his current teaching duties Mr. Katz provides professional development at various schools, and presents technology integration workshops internationally and online. Several of his presentations, and many samples of his students' work can be viewed at stevenkatz.com and on his blog.

Mr. Katz is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and earned his M.Ed. in Computer-Based Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He began his teaching career in southern California in 1990, and has been teaching at schools internationally since 2003. Mr. Katz also taught two years in the teacher credential and master's program of education at Chapman University in Orange, California.

Mr. Katz is an Apple Distinguished Educator, was recognized in his school district as Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year Finalist. He was also selected as the Multiple Subject Outstanding Faculty Member at Chapman University in 2003.
